Charles A. Stewart
Charles A. Stewart received a BA in Art History and Archaeology from the University of Missouri, Columbia, a MA in Medieval Archaeology from the University of York (England) and his PhD from Indiana University in History of Art. Dr. Stewart is Associate Professor of Art History in the Department of Art & Architecture at Benedictine College. The recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship, he has also received teaching awards. A prolific author, Professor Stewart has published numerous articles and book chapters, and two books. He is in the process of finalizing four books including A History of Early Christian Art & Architecture and A History of Byzantine Art & Architecture. Dr. Stewart is proficient in reading several languages including Classical and Byzantine Greek.
