Dr. Guy David Hepp
Guy David received his MA from Florida State University and his Ph.D. in anthropology at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is presently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology at California State University, San Bernardino. Dr. Hepp has received several awards for both writing and teaching. In 2011, he received a prestigious Fulbright Foundation grant, and in 2016, he was the recipient of the Society for American Archaeology Dissertation Award. For the past 15 years, Dr. Hepp’s research has focused on Oaxaca, Mexico. Since 2010, he has directed the La Consentida Archaeological Project (https://upcolorado.com/university-press-of-colorado/item/3579-la-consentida ). Dr. Hepp has published extensively about Oaxaca, including in edited books and academic journals. He is the author of Formative Period Figurines of Coastal Oaxaca, Mexico. Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Hepp’s knowledge, teaching skills, and love of Oaxaca makes him am ideal leader for this a fascinating trip.
